AmaNut Italy was founded in Piedmont, in the heart of one of Italy’s most renowned hazelnut-growing regions, with a project that integrates cultivation, research, processing and marketing of hazelnuts. We directly oversee every stage to offer high-quality, traceable products for both the professional market and end consumers.
An integrated, fully controlled hazelnut supply chain
From genetic research and orchard management to harvesting and processing, we have developed an integrated supply chain that allows us to directly monitor and control every stage of our hazelnuts’ journey.
Our farms cover 154 hectares of hazelnut orchards, where we grow the Tonda Gentile del Piemonte, Tonda Giffoni and Tonda Francescana varieties, following our internal production guidelines and carefully managing every agronomic stage.
The raw materials are then processed using methods and technologies designed to preserve their quality and organoleptic characteristics.

We process our hazelnuts to create a range of products suitable for various professional applications and direct consumption.
From harvest to processing, everything under our control
Processing continues at our facility through cleaning, drying, shelling, sorting, roasting and packaging.
We operate our own machinery and dedicated technologies, including a state-of-the-art optical sorting machine that examines hazelnuts to identify and remove those that do not meet the required quality standards.
Direct control over processing allows us to monitor the product throughout the entire production cycle, ensuring traceability and consistent quality.
A partner for the B2B market
AmaNut Italy supplies food manufacturers, chocolate makers, pastry shops, gelato producers, artisan workshops and distributors, offering a range of hazelnuts and processed products suitable for different professional applications.
By directly managing both agricultural production and processing, we position ourselves in the Italian and European markets with a controlled supply chain and raw materials of known origin.
Research and innovation for the future of hazelnut farming
Our work goes beyond producing today’s hazelnuts. We invest in research and genetic improvement of hazelnut trees to develop new cultivars capable of meeting the needs of modern agriculture.
Productivity, nut quality, adaptation to climatic conditions, resistance to environmental challenges and crop sustainability are among the key areas of our research programme.
New selections are tested directly in our orchards, transforming the 154 hectares managed by the group into a true open-air laboratory, where we can observe the performance of different genetic varieties over time.
