AmaNut Italy is a Piedmont-based company born from the combination of agriculture, local heritage and innovation. From our headquarters in Savigliano, in the province of Cuneo, we work to enhance the value of Italian hazelnuts through a project that brings together cultivation, research, processing and marketing.
Four friends, one project dedicated to hazelnuts
AmaNut Italy was born from the shared vision of four friends, united by their passion for agriculture and their desire to build something meaningful and lasting in their local area.
Different skills and experiences came together to create a project with a clear objective: to establish a modern supply chain dedicated to hazelnut production and enhancement, directly overseeing the various stages that determine product quality.
At its heart lies a belief that has guided us from the very beginning: agricultural tradition and innovation can and must grow together.
Our roots are in Piedmont
Our project began in Piedmont, one of Italy's regions most closely associated with hazelnut cultivation. This is where our headquarters and the farms through which we directly manage our crops are located.
Today, we manage 154 hectares of hazelnut orchards, forming the foundation of our supply chain and a productive asset that is set to expand further in the coming years.
However, our connection to the local area does not mean focusing solely on tradition. Agricultural expertise meets research, new technologies and a forward-looking vision for the future of hazelnut cultivation.
From cultivation to processing, we oversee every step of our hazelnut production
AmaNut Italy is more than just a hazelnut processing company. Our business model is based on the desire to maintain direct control over the different stages of the supply chain, starting with the cultivation of raw materials. We manage our hazelnut orchards, harvesting and subsequent processing operations, all the way through to the transformation and packaging of the finished product.
We use our own machinery and dedicated technologies, allowing us to manage production internally while maintaining control over quality and traceability. This integrated approach enables us to know the origin of our hazelnuts and follow their journey through to the finished product.
Research and genetic improvement for the future
Alongside production, we invest in hazelnut research and genetic improvement, working to select new cultivars capable of meeting the demands of modern hazelnut farming.
Productivity, nut quality, adaptability to climate change and crop sustainability are among the key areas of our research.
New selections can be tested directly in our orchards, allowing us to evaluate their performance over time under real growing conditions.
